蘋果和Research in Motion將佔有全球58%的手機利潤

華爾街日報報道由德意志銀行分析師布賴恩莫多夫的研究顯示，蘋果和Research in Motion (RIM) 共佔約35 ％的手機行業的利潤，雖然在2008年只是佔有全球3 ％的手機銷售。

蘋果的利潤大約佔20 ％ ，雖然只持有僅超過1 ％的手機市場。莫多夫估計，蘋果和RIM的手機銷售在2009年將達到5 ％ ，而利潤總額將達到58%。

該報告指出，無線運營商提供補貼為它們提供的強大的推動力。據報導，每部iPhone手機，蘋果公司會收到從運營商補貼約400美元，而黑莓預計收到約200美元和典型基本手機收到約為100美元。製造商佔據了基本的手機市場，只有市場領導者諾基亞公司能夠利用其經濟規模，以吸引更大的利潤（ 55 ％ ）和相應的市場額（ 46 ％ ）。但是，即使諾基亞已經看到的市場額和利潤下滑，由於客戶越來越多採用其它公司較先進的智能手機型號。

iPhone 開發之路 (四) - Invalid entitlements

Sometimes when we are installing applications to our device through XCode, we might get a error message saying “The executable was signed with invalid entitlements“. This is most likely because the device is not included in the provision file. In tried with a device which i was sure to be included in the provision file and found that it works as expected. This error mostly occurs when we try to install applications on device which are not included in the provision file and is running iPhone OS 3.0. My iPod Touch whose UDID was not in the provision file was throwing this error where as my iPhone whose UDID is included in the provision file worked fine.

Make sure to check your ‘target’ configuration settings and set the “Code Signing Entitlements” to the plist that you created for entitlements.

iPhone App: FastFinga 最方便的抄筆記軟件

今天到台灣的 App Store，想看看那些軟件比較受歡迎，而排第一的 Paid App，居然不是遊戲(不像香港) ，而是一個 Productivity 的工具。立即用 US$0.99 買回來一試。

這是一個用手寫方法的 WYSWYG 筆記軟件，並沒有OCR，但它的設計很妙，所寫的文字會變成一個個的 Blocks，方便修改，隨時又可以用圖像輸出到其它軟件。以前很難想像在iPhone中小小的螢幕可以手寫抄筆記，但用了FastFinga，即使長篇大論，它都可以應付自如，還寫出"行氣"來。

設計 iphone 用的 icon，比較方便的是用 photoshop 去處理。

Tabbar icon 可以參考我的 iphoneTabIconsample.psd，要保持單色和背景的透明，iPhone會自動加上 Shading 的效果，save as "png" file 就可以加進你的程式的resources用了。
要設計你iPhone程式的 57x57 封面icon，可以參考這個 iphoneiconsample.psd 來自http://www.keepthewebweird.com/iphone-icon-psd-template，同樣地，save as "png" file 並加進你的程式的resources就可以了。

其實，當你要Submit你的程式到App Store，你需要另外準備一個 512x512 的版本，Apple 要求這兩個icon 57x57 和 512x512 應該要大致上一樣，否則隨時會因此而將你的程式打回頭。
